Get on the windy bus
DISCLAIMER: Do not watch this video if you don’t like bad language, however if you can see past it to the genius that is my good friend Tommy, enjoy. Thanks to Jay for bringing him to the world wide web…
Tommy Higgins: A CheltBMX Original
Jay also has an always entertaining blog that I often look at, you can find it HERE.
Of course, there is a reason I’m taking the time to update this site:

Yes indeed, POPSHOT has arrived! It actually arrived a wee while ago, I just haven’t got round to putting it here. If you haven’t already bought a copy, you should. I don’t even claim to be a fan of poetry but in this handy format, augmented by beautiful pictures I did in fact give it a good read. You should too, so click HERE.

This is my drawing, which you can now also check out in the work section at the top of the page.
That’s it for now, going to try and take some photos of things I have made lately to put up here so stay tuned, as for new drawings and things, well you’ll have to keep checking back. Til then entertain yourself by listening to Mike Skinner’s mini mixes on SkinnerMike…

“I learned more in six months of staying in the same place than i did in twenty years of travelling…”
… or words to that effect. I can’t exactly remember what he said, but Monty Halls has provided me with a fair amount of entertainment over the last few weeks. Here is a picture:

The issue of Cent with my drawing in made it through the post, pretty pleased with it, expecially given the time I had to think of something and get it sent out. Anyway you can see the picture properly in the work section up there ^^^.
I was going to put up the popshot picture but it’s nice waiting for the post to arrive so for now here is something I really really really want to make those rainy sundays a bit more bearable:

Stay bon.

straight dubplate business

Cheltenham graffitti continues to kill it.
Working on a few personal things at the moment including my first forays into colour, it feels like 1954 all over again.
Both Popshot and Cent have gone to print so the drawings I did for them should be up soon.
I’d be doing my friends a great disservice if I didn’t mention the sterling work they are doing, Charlie Duck, Tim Laing and my man Jacob Denno the captain of the Popshot ship. check out their respective websites by clicking on their names…

Bought myself a new sketchbook so I’m off to have a go. Once I’ve watched my 18th hour of The World At War… If you haven’t watched it yet, you ruddy well should.

Brass Monkeys!
God damn it’s cold. Not feeling particularly articulate today so I’ll keep ‘er short and sweet. Below is one of many picture frames made/being made/to be made, an ongoing little thing of mine to accomodate the odd sized pictures I have accumulated over the last few years. The picture inside it can also be found in the work section, check it out…

Next is my first proper foray into home joinery, pre-varnish. all seasoned oak and smooth as a baby’s bum… I’m looking forward to some more timber based projects in the future. Here it is…

Finally we have an 11 metre deep well located between someones kitchen and hallway somewhere in deepest Gloucestershire. How snazzy is that?!

More soon…

“Lock tite super glue business…”
Skepta has some of the best grime mc banter going, and like a lot of the stuff I put up here its usually completely irrelvant but always entertaining:

and,

I don’t know much about grafitti, but I do know that this is as far as it goes in good old Gloucester.
Tim went to see a Conor Harrington exhibition once upon a time, a couple of years later I bought a book called “Weekend Warriors.” Not long after I bought that I was walking down Brick Lane and I saw this:

I don’t have the vocabulary to express how brilliant I think this is.
I’ve been doing some stuff of my own, not all of it pictures but you’ll have to wait a while to see the results. In the meantime here’s a taster…

That’s all for now, been thinking about writing explanations of the work I’ve got up here but I’m not sure its necessary. let me know what you think.

Been keeping it fairly low key of late, got a few things in the works I’ll put up here when done but til then, I found a couple of things that might be of interest:

This here is my degree show, can’t remember exactly but the drawing on the right is something like 100cm tall by 150cm wide over 2 pieces of heavyweight drawing paper. at some point I’ll get some high-res pictures taken of it but til then this’ll have to do.
In other news I have updated my links page with a link to my friend Aidan’s blog. It’s got nothing to do with illustration but he is brilliant and dead entertaining. go see for yourself.
Til next time,

Buy stuff
As you can see I have a whole heap of postcards with one of my drawings on. They’ve been sat in the drawer next to me for quite some time, so I thought instead of them probably not seeing the light of day ever again, you can send me a stamped addressed envelope with a 2 pound coin stuck to a piece of card and I’ll send you 4 of the 6×4 inch beauties:

Stu Loxley
17 Six Acres
Upton St Leonards
Glos
GL48AY
If you send me cool stuff as well i’ll send you a drawing and or some other random stuff thats floating about.
have a nice time
